Roxburghe is part of the Schloss estate which hosts a number of country activities and a spa. The course is a beautiful, kind of park/heathland style with many picturesque views of the Scottish borders.

It is a while since I played so my memory hole by hole isn't great but it was definitely a challenging yet fun course, holes with both risk & reward. The first is a great example, a relatively straight par 4 at 380 meters it requires a good drive to start but with trees short on the left and further on the right you already have to think tactically about how you want to get it down there. The second similarly has trees protecting the left hand side of the hole but two bunkers at driving distance as the hole bends to the left bringing both into play if you are straight off the tee.

It was very quiet when we played there, barely another soul on the course and in such a serene location it was a lovely day out. The course was also in very good condition from what I remember!
