Kingussie is one of my favourite courses. It isn't the most glamorous locations with a very old traditional clubhouse that definitely needs a facelift. It doesn't have the finest practice facilities, you've got a net at best. They don't have the most pristine maintenance, the fairways and greens are well looked after but not world class but Kingussie offers a very fun and very varied 18 hole experience.

At 4,800 meters and a par 67 it is not in the mould of a traditional golf course but that all adds to the intrigue. Starting with a 200 meter par 3, it is no walk in the park. The course slowly works its way up the hill and across and then back down with the best views of the surrounding Cairngorm mountains and has such a fun mix of holes that it makes it one of the most enjoyable rounds of golf I have had without even scoring that well.
