247 - Hermanus Golf Club (East)

Hermanus wasn’t necessarily a new golf club to me but with it being a 27 hole operation, an opportunity to play the East course or the first 9 holes (1-9). I was fortunate enough to play holes 10-27 a couple years ago.

At the time I thought it was an excellent club and nothing has changed. From the moment you arrive in the December sunshine you know you’re in for a special round. From the huge putting green to the driving range with a mountain backdrop it is hard not to appreciate the beauty of the course. Lush fairways, fast firm greens and a tricky yet rewarding set of holes that rewards accuracy in approach, Hermanus is in my opinion an underrated golf course in South Africa.

If you could manage all 27 holes in a day I would play them in a heartbeat!
