When you look at the scorecard you think it’s going to be quite a short course at around 5,400 meters but there’s plenty of hills you play up that make it play longer than what it seems.

For example the first is a straight up hill par 4 to an elevated green. There’s some other cool holes like the 3rd which is a driveable par 4 but the green is elevated again and there’s a nasty looking set of bunkers before the green. Ironically I went way right onto the neighbouring fairway. The 5th is a 470ish meter par 5 with a second shot blind over the hill. The 11th is a long par 4, playing 370 meters but a drive over a valley and then a steep climb to the green and I’ll finish with the 16th which is a dog-left left with a step drop to the green with water surrounding the left and back of the green.

For £35 I think it’s a good solid round of golf. Whilst the yardage doesn’t look that long, with all the climbs and descents I’d recommend a buggy on a warm day. Got to the 10th hole myself and felt a bit worse for wear and I carry every round!

There is a driving range but it is quite limited to higher irons because it isn’t that long but there were good short game practice facilities with separate chipping and putting greens and a bunker to practice out of.
