Bring some ice water because this is one very hot part of the world. Nestled in the hills of Torres Vedras is a very narrow, extremely challenging course with little room for mistakes and not a lot of forgiveness. The course isn’t especially long at around 5,500 meters but it has twists and turns and narrow landing areas and areas that feed into bush or thick grass. Having said that, one of our touring group shot level par so maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about.

I would say the maintenance of the course leaves quite a bit to be desired, the greens were generally good and ran true but the fairways were quite bare and dry in many parts.

For around €50 it's not bad but it’s not high up on my lists of places to return.

Having said that it was an interesting round and a good challenge and the hotel itself is a very pretty building to have in the backdrop of a few of the holes. I’d highly recommend a buggy with the heat and changes in elevation and the practice facilities were pretty good with an area to hit off the grass and a putting and chipping green.
