14 - Royal Golf Club des Fagnes

Set in the heart of the forest surrounding the famous Belgian town of Spa, known for its formula 1 track, Royal Golf Club de Fagnes is a superbly serene golf club.

Measuring at 5,600 meters it isn't the longest of courses but with holes weaving through thick lines of trees and fairways on the narrower side, it makes for a tough challenge.

The beautiful old clubhouse sits neatly behind the 18th hole with a large putting green sat beneath the steps leading up to it, a picturesque finish to the round.

Unfortunately due to Belgian restrictions they weren't able to use certain pesticides on the greens which resulted in them being very heavily sanded and not the best condition but other than that a lovely, peaceful walk through the Chawion forest.
