64 - Knysna Golf Club

Didn’t have a booking and wanted to play 3 rounds in a day so turned up at the crack of dawn (6:45am) with the pro shop already open and they let me get started immediately. As you can imagine the round was pretty quick for the front 9 but as people filled the course on the back 9 it slowed down a bit but everyone was very courteous and let me play through without any fuss.

The course itself is pretty flat, almost no change in elevation but they’ve done a good job of making it interesting with twists and turns and hazards in easy to hit places.  It’s fairly wide with opportunities to miss left or right on most holes apart from the 9th which is a narrow, challenging par-5. Despite the openness there are plenty of trees to get stuck behind.

The greens were really good and the fairways may look dry from the pictures but actually in decent condition

The club house has a nice open deck where you can watch plenty of holes from and the pro shop has plenty in it. The only downside is the lack of practice facilities with no driving range but just a putting green.
