Kloof is a decent golf course, without being spectacular. There are some interesting holes, one or two where water comes in to play but ultimately it is more parkland with plenty of trees about.
We found it a quite tough to hit the greens, most were quite small and there were plenty of bunkers around to make finding the greens a challenge. Interestingly it is a par 70, so at 5670 meters off the men’s tees it isn’t exactly a short course. There’s plenty of changes in elevation but a lot of the holes were quite straight, felt like it was maybe lacking a bit of character. The condition wasn’t amazing, the fairways had pretty poor drainage and were quite boggy.
The driving range is almost non-existent, there’s space there but you’d have to bring your own balls and apart from that there was a practice green in front of the clubhouse.
Think if the course was in better condition I’d be keener to come back.
