The closest you’re going to get to a Links course in Cape Town, Milnerton has almost 18 holes of picturesque Table Mountain backdrops. Situated right on the coast on the north side of Cape Town its very accessible from the city and worth a visit if you’re in the area. The course itself isn’t too tough if you get it on a calm day but when the wind kicks up off the beach it’s a very tricky cross wind to deal with.

The holes themselves are relatively straight and the condition of the course if pretty good without being spectacular but it is the backdrop that draws you in, you find yourself turning around or taking pictures with Table Mountain in the background.

There’s no driving range associate with the club but there is a separate private one a short drive to the 3rd hole where you can hit balls. Otherwise there’s nets behind the clubhouse and plenty of space to practice your putting/chipping pre-round.
