89 - Erinvale Golf Club

What a beautiful course! I’d heard good things from friends who’d played there in the past and it definitely lived up to expectations.For me this was my favourite course in and around Cape Town. The views all around are pretty special.

The front 9 is relatively flat and some of the holes are relatively straight but the back 9 is pretty remarkable. There’s a small climb to get to the 10th tee box and the ensuing holes slowly work uphill. The 13th is a remarkable hole. The tee shot is a blind shot dog-legging left with the fairway dropping down with a gorgeous view of the green down in a valley with tall pine trees on one side, some water on the left and steepling mountains in the background.

I’ll definitely be stopping by next time I am in Cape Town.
