Golf et Country Club De Bossey is a beautiful golf course set in a wonderful location. The course is set at the foot of a mountain with views on the other side looking down towards Geneva and has a set of stunning holes with wonderful vistas.
It is a pretty challenging course, all par 3’s off the white tees play close to 200 meters. I hit a very good 3 wood on one hole and only just made the green so there are very challenging. The rest of the course is tight enough to make tee shots difficult without any neighbouring holes to miss on. There are many memorable holes on the course weather it’s the first hole teeing off straight up towards the mountain or the second coming back down. The condition of course is wonderful and especially given the altitude it is at even more impressive that they keep it so well.
There is a driving range, you can’t really hit driver on it, but long irons and 3 woods should be okay. If you hit a ball too well it’s going to go over the netting, but the practice facilities are pretty good. There’s a big chipping/putting green near the first tee as well. The clubhouse is very pretty and if you sit on the balcony, you can see players coming down holes 3 & 4.
For a price of €150 a round it is not cheap, maybe reflective of having Geneva within a stone’s throw but would I pay that to play again? I probably would!
