Playing Regthuys was my first opportunity to venture away from Amsterdam and play something a bit further afield and with the hour and a bit car journey we definitely enjoyed the experience and the day out.
Arriving as 4 expats, everyone was quite inquisitive as to what we were doing up here but extremely friendly nonetheless and a lovely touch from the pro shop attendant to give us all a logo'd ball as part of our green fee.
The course is designed in a similar vein to the likes of Liemeer, Wilnis and De Kroonprins Vianen. It features undulating fairways and was my first affirmation that not every course in the Netherlands is flat and lined with streams of water. A really nice mix up from the Amsterdam courses. Like most Dutch courses it is susceptible to wind because of the lack of masses of trees.
Each hole had it's own twist and turn and very few on the course were similar to the one before. Kept in very good condition and with an array of practice facilities it was a fun day out. Wouldn't hesitate to come back!
