Waterland is a course just to the North of Amsterdam and as the name suggests there is an abundance of water on the course. Most if not all the holes are lined with streams or bodies of water which actually makes it quite a tricky course to play. As it is the cheapest option around Amsterdam, the course is usually filled with quite a poor quality of golfer and the pace of play is pretty slow.
The maintenance isn't great either but I think they are trying to bring the quality of the course up to a better standard. The course is dead flat and in a flat country it is very prone to high winds. I wouldn't really recommend playing here unless you are at a loss for a tee time.
