Westwoud is one of the affordable courses in the proximity to Amsterdam I enjoy the most. The course starts off quite gently with a fairly short par 4 and then takes you out onto a more flat, watery stretch of holes where you have to be quite careful where you hit and can also be quite windy like other courses in this part of the Netherlands. This 9 is typical of the area with not many trees and a lot of run off spots into the streams/canals that line the fairways.

The back 9 is more parkland so provides a good mix with some more changes in elevation which you don't see too often in the northern part of the Netherlands!

Overall quality of the fairways and greens was pretty good. Played alone on this occasion and all the groups in front were very courteous to let me play through without any problem so no issues with pace of play. Would recommend visiting.
